Below is a news release about one of our lifetimestudents, Dr. Jame A. DiRenna Jr. Dr. DiRenna was a Wentworth Cadet from 1960through 1967.
During his tenure as a cadet he earned multiple 100%Deportment medals, recognition as a Trumpeter staff member and columnist.Significant promotions include Commander of Company D and Brigade Commander in1967. Jim was commissioned upon graduation from Wentworth and finished hiseducation in Texas.
Also notable is he followed COL. Anthony Myhra (WMA HS '61& JC '63) as the Commanding Officer of a medical unit within in the U. S.Army Reserves.

James A. DiRenna, Jr., DO,FAAFP Awarded Physician of the Year by Missouri Society of the American Collegeof Osteopathic Family Physicians

Independence, Missouri – James A.DiRenna, Jr., DO, FAAFP, with Heartland Health of St. Joseph, Missouri wasrecently awarded the 2013 Osteopathic Family Physician of the Year Award by theMissouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.(MSACOFP).
Dr. DiRenna was honored at aceremony on January 26, 2013 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, Missouriduring the 2013MSACOFP Winter Scientific Seminar. The prestigious award isgiven to an osteopathic family physician for outstanding accomplishments andservice for the betterment of the osteopathic profession and who exemplifiesthe principles of osteopathic family medicine.  
Dr. DiRenna has been a stalwartadvocate for osteopathic family medicine for over thirty years, and has been apracticing family physician in Missouri throughout his entire career.  He is a past president of MSACOFP and remainsactive on the Board of Governors.  He isa board member of the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and served as itspresident in 2012.  He is also a pastpresident of the Jackson County Osteopathic Medical Association and has servedon multiple committees for several osteopathic organizations both locally andstatewide.
